Heroes on the Move 2018 Job Descriptions

Coaches:  Assist with teaching sports skills.  Coaches should have experience in the sport they are coaching.  We are most in need of baseball and basketball coaches for week #2.  Basketball coaches will be needed in the mornings only, and could double as huddle coaches.  Baseball coaches will be coaching all day.

 

First Aid:  Provide first aid to campers and staff as needed.  This person usually stays with the sports rotation.  Current CPR Certification required.

 

Art Assistants:  Help with running the craft rotation during the afternoons week #1 (there may be prep to do in the mornings also) or the art program all day week #2.  Art assistants should have art skills.

 

Worship Rally Leader:  Plan 3 rallies (8:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m.. 4:10 p.m.) each day for all of camp, lead in music and leader games, get

campers excited about camp.

 

Rally assistant:  Assist with leading worship rallies.

 

AV Technician:  Run AV equipment as needed during the rallies.

 

Games Assistants:  Assist with running the games rotations.  Games assistants will also be plugged into other assisting roles (like helping in the pool or the kitchen) when the games rotation is not happening.

 

Huddle Coaches:  Provide oversight to a group of campers and build relationships with them throughout the week.  Discuss with them the spiritual truths being taught, maintain a camper count throughout the day.  Huddle coaches could also play a role as a sport coach or art assistant.

 

Huddle Assistants:  Assist the Huddle Coaches with their group of campers.  Huddle assistants will also assist in teaching sports or art to their campers.

 

HIT Team Assistants:  Assist with the HIT Team program.  Work with the HIT Team Coordinator to mentor a group of 13 and 14 year olds and help them to grow in their faith and  learn leadership skills.  This position is most needed for the first week, and may involve an overnight event.

 

Registration Helpers:  Assist with daily sign in/sign out (8:00 - 8:45 a.m. and 4:00 - 4:45 p.m.).

 

Kitchen Staff:  Assist with preparing food for campers and staff and delivering snack to the appropriate locations.  This could be a morning only position.
